One of the starting points for customers evaluating new solutions is to assess the relative costs of various options. When we went out on the web and tried to find a non-biased TCO Calculator it was almost impossible. Most vendors offering a calculator try to bias you towards their solution, and quite frankly spend their time evangelizing you about their solutions instead of helping you to understand TCO.

As a result we built our own TCO calculator. You can get it here at no charge. The BizValue TCO Calculator allows you to enter every cost associated with various solution options and determine your five year TCO. It is not biased in an, we like cloud computing, but we would never try to represent the costs of various solution offerings to bias a client towards cloud computing. The TCO and expected value received need to make sense for any solution you are considering. The BizValue TCO Calculator is a critical first evaluation step, but of course, the business case must also include a value calculation to justify the investment. At this point we are not providing a BizValue Value Calculator at no charge, but we certainly undertake Value assessments in our BizValue consulting practice.
